It’s a Beautiful Day!

Yesterday, I was able to finish up with all of the painting which meant a more relaxing day today. The thunderstorms that rolled through last night cooled things off a bit, so the weather was absolutely wonderful for Munchkin’s baseball game. As we approach the last game of the season (next Saturday), we can see how much the kids have grown in their baseball knowledge and skills. Munchkin has gained a new found love of the game. Painting, Painting, and More Painting…

Over the weekend, we went and visited family in North Carolina. Munchkin enjoyed playing with her cousins and her Grandma for a few days. We know that once we move these times will be far less frequent. We’ve been taking advantage of these opportunities as much as possible. Strawberry Picking

We love that time of year where the strawberries are ready for picking. Yummy!! Since the critters around our house keep eating all of the strawberries that we planted this year, we headed over to the strawberry field. Daddy and Munchkin searching for the best spot to start picking berries. Daddy does not enjoy picking berries, but he decided that he would join us anyway. Yorktown Battlefield

Once again, Munchkin participated in the Junior Ranger program. We were a little rushed during our time at the Yorktown Battlefield as they closed too soon after our arrival from Jamestown. We attended a very interesting guided tour as part of the program. Unfortunately, this tour was going to run until after the park closed. We left a little early and asked ranger if she’d be willing to sign off on Munchkin’s work even though she still hadn’t completed all of the activities.
